Company Background

Northwind IT Systems was founded in January 2000 by Paul Bent. Based in the North of England and serving Windows users, I am geared to providing IT development and support services to all types of businesses.

Paul Bent is a "sole-trader", trading as Northwind IT Systems and is the only full time employee. I believe that my business should use the internet as it was originally intended - "as a tool for intelligent people to create small and efficient businesses that can be effective worldwide."

Northwind IT Systems serves customers around the world. I provide development and consultancy services to businesses in Australia, Japan, Canada, USA and most European countries.

Serving the Approach community

For several years I've actively supported and participated in Approach discussion groups and mailing lists. Before I founded Northwind I was an L-Team volunteer on the CompuServe Approach forum. When Lotus withdrew their sponsorship from CompuServe in 1999, I helped launch XpertSS.com, now the premiere free support site for Lotus SmartSuite users and developers.
